Rare Violins of New York Travels to China
In October, Rare Violins partners Bruno Price and Ziv Arazi travelled to Shanghai China. Accompanied by Tatsuo Imaishi from RVNY’s workshop, they checked up on the Dupont Stradivari, their noteworthy 2014 sale which marked the first Stradivari to be sold on mainland China. Bruno and Ziv were 1 of 11 presenters, and the only American presenters, at the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra hall. They met with string players from the Shanghai Symphony one day before the immense Shanghai Music Fair Music China Expo, where thousands of exhibitors gathered.
This trip marks RVNY’s second trip to China this calendar year. Back in April, Bruno and Ziv traveled for the 1st public concert of the Dupont Stradivari performed by Mr. Sheng Zhongguo in the Forbidden City Concert Hall.
