In Consortium provides a platform for benefactors and artists to collaborate on instrument loans and related projects.
Under the direction of Tatsuo Imaishi, the Rare Violins workshop remains committed to instrument conservation, always balancing the needs of the musician with the needs of an instrument for long-term health and preservation. This year, the RVNY shop welcomed restorers Elizabeth LaPorte and Ryan Stulb. Elizabeth previously worked for several prominent violin shops in Chicago, and Ryan’s prior work was in Boston. Rare Violins’ in-house bow maker Ron Forrester continues to impress collectors and musicians with his bows made in accordance with the French tradition.
