Coming from a musical family with a strong background in the performing arts, David Brewer is a native of Temple, Texas and a graduate of the University of North Texas. There, Brewer earned a bachelor’s degree in violin performance under the instruction of Robert Davidovici, Phil Lewis and Igor Borodin. After playing professionally in the Dallas / Fort Worth metro area, Brewer took a job as sales manager for violin dealer Wayne Burak & Associates in 1998. Increasing his knowledge and familiarity with rare instruments and bows, Brewer later became a Sales Manager for Robertson & Sons ViolinShop in 2000. Over the course of a decade, Brewer played a vital role in the shop and developed a strong passion for providing a higher level of expertise and ethics for clients. In March 2011, Brewer and his wife established David Brewer Fine Violins, LLC in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In 2021, Brewer joined Rare Violins of New York as the sales director.
